2002 Team Sponsors
A Successful 2001 Season: Thanks to you

Thank you for your support of the USA Pista Elite Cycling Team during the 2001 season.  Highlights of the season included Gold and Bronze Medals at the Canadian-American Friendship Festival, 20 National Championship Rider Starts (and a top 10 finish), Victories in all three events entered at the Tour de Kids in Ann Arbor Michigan, our 10 year old becoming the youngest rider ever to win the 18 and under expert race at the Twin Sizzler in Medina, Ohio, and Braden's incredible undefeated season (winning races in Texas, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Indiana)

It was a season of  compelling images:  Bryan attacking off the front of a National class field at Allkek Velodrome, Tony summoning all of his physicality and guile to place fifth in spite of his lack of form, Six Juniors in Erie for Presque Isle (1st and 2nd Men 9 and under, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 7th Men 10-14), Braden diving down the banking at Allkek, and Jakob crossing the line solo, hands in the air, in Ann Arbor  Following Jeremy and Braden's victorious rides, Shayne proving his manhood, riding in category with the Seniors at Canfield and placing 6th, Sean returning from a broken arm to win solo in Canada - Jeremy chasing hard, bruised and bloody from a nasty crash-and still finishing 3rd, Jeremy still bruised and scabbed winning in Medina two days later, Tony grinning from ear to ear after exploding out the front of an international field to win the field sprint, lead outs, blocking and breakaways all coming together in Indiana-3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th, Jakob breaking a cleat and pulling his foot out in full flight on the track-not only staying up, but riding the last 150 meters with one foot-only to be caught at the line to place second, Anger and disappointment dripping wet after the National Time Trial, Bryan and Shayne driving the chase at the National Road Race, Jeremy 10th place at the National Time Trial, Bryan fighting to finish the National Criterium, Jeremy getting reeled in, countered, and still fighting to hang onto 11th place in the National Criterium, Bryan and Shayne holding on in the National Points Race (Bryan 12th), Jeremy relentlessly attacking in the 1000 Meter National Championship, only to be caught out of the last turn, Bryan pushing through under the defending National Champion to contest the 5000 Meter National Championship…

It was a season of triumph, a season of disappointment, a season of learning, a season of character, a statement of hope for the future…

Thank you for your support this season as we look forward to 2002.
